This mirror is made in worked hardwood, plaster, terracotta bull and gold leaf sheets. While the style is inspired in Baroque colonial sunburst mirrors, the technique is Peruvian executed by Peruvian artisans in the 1920’s decade. This can be seen in the rich texture and gold detailing. The glass is original also.

The mirror is in its original condition and while it has some minor dents and small pieces of plaster missing (as detailed in the pictures), the piece looks spectacular and has a lot of character.
A gorgeous piece like this would look wonderful in any traditional, transitional, rustic, or even French country modern or American farmhouse environment. We have this piece on top of a Brazilian Modern credenza and looks fantastic.
