VINTAGE BRONZE NYMPH DESK INKWELL

I originally purchased this item over 25 years at The Armory Antiques Show in NYC where I have bought many antiques over the years. It caught my eye as I was walking by. I had never seen an inkwell of this design and was captivated by how lovely and unique it is. It was an “Aha” moment and I purchased it immediately for my husband’s study.

Intricately sculpted in a golden, antiqued brass finish, this unique inkwell is representative of the 1920s Art Deco Movement. This is a richly detailed and ornately designed inkwell – an ideal reflection of 1920s design and artistry. This inkwell sports 2 covered ink well dispensers on each side with an ebony Greek nymph sculpture centered between them. To hold papers and envelopes there are two side areas and 1 large front area. This is a true treasure for your library, study or home office; and, perfect to sit atop your desk or for artistic display. Measures 19.5L/8D/9H Truly unique and rare.
