Early 20th Century E.F.Caldwell italianate gilt bronze sconces, a pair. Heavy gilt brass casting with a round backplate. Single upcurved arm with a foliate pattern. Etched glass shade. Original finish is in good condition. Surface cleaned and rewired. Takes a single standard base bulb, 40 watt max. There are holes drilled in the backplate from previous mounting on wood panelling. The holes match up to a 3.5” pancake box. Glass shade is a replacement, from Vianne of France. Marked Caldwell, American, C. 1910. Two matching pairs of sconces available as of posting
