A very fine and rare German, 19th century figural porcelain liquor dispenser fountain. The two-part allegorical Baroque style fountain depicting a standing bearded man, his arms raised while holding a seashell-shaped basing decorated with flowers and with a circular dispenser opening, all above a male satyr and a female half-centaur with a child. The detachable oyster-shaped basin decorated with flowers, scrolls and centered with a romantic courting park scene, raised on four gilt-porcelain foot-shaped feet. Bearing a Meissen “X” marking underneath. An almost identical fountain is Illustrated on “Meissner Porzellan Von Ernst Zimmermann” by Verlag Karl W. Hiersemann – Leipzig 1926 described as “Fontäne, 1727 odr 1728 von Kirchner Modelliert,” circa 1870-1880.
