Vintage Design
This beautiful antique bridal chest dates from around 1850 and has a subtle painting. This example comes from Austria and is a beautiful example of folk art from that time. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. All our bridal chests have been checked and, if necessary, restored, although the characteristic appearance of these cases has been retained. This specimen is quite special because of its long, but low size. Ideal for use as a side table, TV cabinet or shoe box. 38cm high, 166cm wide, 45cm deep.
