A Large German 19th/20th century Figural Porcelain and Gilt-Bronze Mounted Urn with Cover in the Manner of Meissen. The ovoid porcelain hand painted urn decorated with scenes of festive villagers and elders. The lid also decorated with festive scenes and crowed with a figure of a seated Putto, all surmounted with a pierced gilt-bronze rim, figural handles with female masks and lion heads, raised on an ornate gilt-bronze plinth with four lion paws surmounted with children masks. Stamped with a blue under-glaze crossed “X”. Circa: 1900.
