A Swedish period Baroque painted wood occasional table from the turn of the 17th and 18th century. This antique table from Sweden has a rectangular-shaped elm wood top with angular/canted corner edges, atop a thick apron, and presented upon nicely carved, bold legs that taper to squared ankles and terminate into large ball feet. The legs are braced above their feet with a carved wood stretcher, in an elongated x-shape. The elm wood top has a fabulous old patina; showing its centuries old age. It is complimented with an older painted finish in an earthy warm taupe color. This period Baroque Swedish table, circa 1690-1720, is a great versatile size at just over 4 feet in length, making for endless functionality within your home.
