Industrial Factory Stool By Rowac Circa 1930s. Original seat with crackled paint – Crackled burgundy paint – Branded Rowac on all three legs – By Robert Wagner, Chemnitz – German ~ 1930s – 45cm tall x 35cm wide Rowac Robert Wagner’s founded his company in 1888 in Chemnitz, better known as Rowac. His products stood for functional excellence, and were designed to provide the highest quality of healthy seating. Robert Wagner’s designs were so much respected by the founder of the Bauhaus movement Walter Gropius, that he had all Bauhaus workshops equipped with Rowac furniture. Condition Report Seat has been waxed and polished, some chips and wear to the original paint as well as a couple of rust holes.
