Stunning Baroque Revival Tiger Oak Cabinet with Lion Heads and Barley Twist Base

This handcrafted and solid tiger oak cabinet is in very good condition. We cannot find a makers name, but this is most certainly the work of a skilled cabinet maker. This impressive cabinet with its beautiful patina consists of two pieces that are placed on top of each other. . .this makes it much easier to ship, move or get it up the stairs if necessary. The Barley twist base with cross stretcher gives this cabinet its extra stately look. The top half starts with a hidden drawer with three beautifully carved lion heads with their original brass rings. You can use the ring on the lion head in the middle to open the perfect sliding and clean drawer. The two doors to the cabinet are placed between 3 turned columns. If it wasn’t for the key hole, these doors would also be hidden. It is this Fine design and workmanship in combination with the angular and overhanging top, that give this stately cabinet its ‘calm and quiet’ look and feel. The interior has two shelves that are adjustable in height and the door on the right comes with a perfect working lock and its original key. This stately cabinet can be used for all kinds of purposes and it will never fail to impress wherever it stands.
